Dead Pixel and Stuck Pixel Test for Any Monitor
A dead pixel may stay dark, while a stuck pixel or subpixel can remain lit or show the wrong color. White, black and individual RGB fields reveal different defects. Dust on the panel can resemble a pixel defect, so a single suspicious spot is not a diagnosis.
Monitor Color, Gradient and Gamma Test Online
Smooth ramps reveal color banding and abrupt tonal changes. Black and white level patches expose crushed shadows and clipped highlights. The gamma pattern compares alternating black-and-white pixels with a gray reference; the closest visual match gives a rough indication of tonal response.
Screen Sharpness, Geometry and Backlight Uniformity Test
Fine lines expose sharpening halos and scaling artifacts. Square grids, circles and inset borders reveal distortion or cropped edges. Uniform gray, white and black fields make uneven illumination, tinting and bright corners easier to notice.
Monitor Ghosting and Motion Clarity Test
Moving blocks on light, medium and dark backgrounds expose visible trails and inverse ghosting. Perceived blur depends on panel response, refresh rate, browser frame pacing and eye tracking. This visual pattern does not measure pixel response time in milliseconds.
Browser Display Test Accuracy and Limitations
Browser zoom, operating-system scaling, HDR, night modes and color profiles can change these patterns. The canvas uses the device pixel ratio reported by the browser, which is not a guarantee of native panel resolution. These are visual SDR checks, not a colorimeter calibration, HDR certification or automatic hardware diagnosis.

Can an online monitor test detect or fix dead pixels?
The test displays patterns that make defects visible to you. A website cannot inspect the physical panel or certify that it has no dead pixels. It cannot repair dead pixels, and this tool does not use flashing pixel-repair routines.
Does the full-screen monitor test work on phones and smart TVs?
The patterns work in modern browsers with canvas support. Native full screen depends on the device and browser; when it is unavailable, the test fills the browser window. Browser bars and system overlays may leave parts of the physical display untested.
Can this monitor test replace professional color calibration?
No. Visual comparisons can reveal obvious clipping, banding or unevenness, but accurate white point, gamut, luminance and gamma measurements require suitable measurement hardware. The gamma reference is especially sensitive to scaling and viewing distance.
Does the monitor test upload screen images or results?
The test patterns are generated locally in your browser. The tool does not capture your screen, access a camera or upload diagnostic images. Observations are made by you and are not saved as an automatic test report.
